Popular "Connector" events include the Food Bank (sorting food), Sagewind, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Adopt-A-Park, Champions of the River, The Salvation Army Silver Angel Tree, assisting with blood drives, and various marketing events.

Upon retirement a great honor is bestowed upon Sierra Pacific employees. They become Sierra Connectors! Sierra Connectors get involved in various volunteer events throughout the year. Some events are done with Sierra employees and some on there own. Although, every retiree is a Connector, approximately 65 actively volunteer together. The group has a board of directors which meets every month. They decide on events to be involved in as well as designate persons to lead those events. They continually look for new ways to involve fellow employees while helping the community and promoting camaraderie with one other.

The Connectors have an annual meeting every March. A speaker from Sierra Pacific keeps them abreast of Company activities, and entertainment keeps things lively. In October, the Connectors hold their general membership meeting at Sierra Plaza. Which, at this meeting they get the opportunity to hear the latest on company issues and benefits, and a chance to do what they do best...connect!
