A typical Sierra residential gas customers could save $2.40 per month if a filing Sierra recently made with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada is approved. Of course, individual savings depends on factors such as how much gas you typically use. The $2.40 a month savings is based on a customer using 52 therms of natural gas a month.

"This filing is a decrease for our customers," said Sierra Pacific Power President Jeff Ceccarelli. "It reflects more stability in the natural gas and energy markets, which is good news for our customers." Sierra Pacific's last natural gas rate change was also a decrease of approximately 3%, which went into effect January 1, 2003.
