Sierra Pacific Powers the Arts
Sierra Pacific Power Feature Stories

Now is the perfect time to become a member of the Nevada Museum of Art (NMA). Sierra Pacific is sponsoring half price membership for new members through the end of the year. It's just another way in which Sierra Pacific is working to Power the Arts and support the arts community.

By joining the NMA, new members will receive free admission to exhibitions and family programs, invitations to preview receptions and special parties, free admission to "First Thursday," discounts in the NMA Museum Store, discounts on classes for adults and children at the Museum's E. L. Cord Museum School, volunteer opportunities, and newsletters. The NMA membership benefits are valid for one year.

The museum brings a diverse palette of world renowned and local artists to northern Nevada, and is currently exhibiting the work of internationally known glass artist, Dale Chihuly through November 26. The spectacular display of glass and light is just one of many large-scale exhibitions the museum works to bring to Northern Nevada every year. Visit the Nevada Museum of Art's website at www.nevadaart.org for more information about membership and upcoming exhibitions.

"We are pleased to be playing an active role in enhancing the growing arts movement in northern Nevada," Karen Foster, Sierra Pacific Community Relations manager commented. The half-price membership follows the popular "Free Sunday" admissions program sponsored by Sierra Pacific in 1999.
