Books Can Keep You Warm This Winter
Sierra Pacific Power Feature Stories

Books can help keep people's homes warm this season, but not by burning them, by buying them. Sierra Pacific, in cooperation with Books Are Fun is holding a book fair November 20-21. Proceeds from the fair will benefit the Special Assistance Fund for Energy, SAFE, which works with social service agencies to help needy families and individuals pay their energy bills. You may be ready for holiday shopping, but others are more concerned with simply trying to keep up with monthly bills.

Books Are Fun offers discounted books at the Sierra Plaza auditorium November 20 from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and at the Ohm Place lecture room from noon to 4 p.m. on the following day. The book fair includes titles in more than 12 categories and you can pick up children's books and small toys, novels and even reference materials, lest you need a dictionary at home and the office copy is looking inviting. The money donated to SAFE will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Sierra Pacific shareholders, up to $125,000.

The book fair will be a great opportunity to shop for gifts without even leaving work. Why brave the crowded mall this holiday season when gifts will literally be at your doorstep?
