Sierra Pacific Power serves more than 320,000 electric customers in northern Nevada and northeastern California. It's 50,000 square mile service territory is part of one of the fastest growing regions in the nation. In addition to oil/natural gas fired units, Sierra Pacific operates the Valmy Power Plant, a coal-fired plant it owns 50/50 with Idaho Power Co. Sierra Pacific is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sierra Pacific Resources, an investor-owned utility holding company that is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

OASIS

The use of Sierra Pacific's high voltage transmission system to move electricity from a source of generation to an electric load center may be reserved by anyone, up to the limits of the available capacity. The Open Access Same-time Information System (OASIS) facilitates the distribution of transmission information and reservation of services. Access to this information is available to anyone.
